아트~컬처 인천공항, 한국문화의 거리서 공간형 예술 전시 선보인다
이존영 기자 | 인천국제공항공사(사장 이학재)는 경기문화재단(대표이사 유인택)과 협업해 비행기 창을 통해 비치는 노을빛 구름을 전통적으로 구현한 'Clouds Spectrum(클라우즈 스펙트럼)' 특별전시를 선보인다고 19일 밝혔다. 지난 18일에 개막한 이번 전시는 내년 5월 5일까지 공항 이용객이라면 누구나 인천공항 제1여객터미널 4층에 위치한 한국문화거리에서 해당 전시를 관람할 수 있다. 김용관 작가가 참여한 이번 전시는 비행기 창에 비치는 구름을 전통적 색감으로 재해석한 작품이다. 전시 공간에는 9개의 골판지 박스 모듈과 700개의 조각들이 배치돼 있고, 각 작품에는 노을빛을 본뜬 흰색과 노란색의 그라데이션 패턴이 입혀져 있다. 특히 공간 전체가 하나의 작품이 되는 '공간형 공공예술 전시'라는 점에서 이용객들이 일상 공간에서 쉽게 예술 작품을 경험할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 이번 특별 전시는 2012년 조성한 제1여객터미널 내 한국문화거리를 인천공항의 핵심문화공간으로 활성화하기 위한 공공예술 프로젝트의 일환이다. 공사는 경기문화재단과 협업해 '작가의 방' 프로젝트라는 이름으로 전시를 진행해 왔으며 이번이 두 번째이다. 지난 6월에는 첫 번째 프로젝트

이존영 기자 | SPC의 베이커리 브랜드 파리바게뜨가 미국 맨해튼 타임스 스퀘어(Times Square) 전광판과 NBC(엔비씨), FOX(폭스) 등 방송 프로그램을 통해 크리스마스 시즌 케이크를 홍보하며 현지 마케팅을 강화하고 있다. 먼저, 파리바게뜨는 13일부터 타임스 스퀘어 전광판 광고를 통해 홀리데이시즌 케이크 12종을 포함한 시즌 메뉴 홍보에 나섰다. 전광판 광고는 25일까지 지속 노출될 예정이다. 지난 1일과 3일에는 각각 LA 지역 방송인 FOX11과 KTLA에 파리바게뜨 미국법인 직원들이 출연해 진저브레드 레인보우 케이크, 펭귄 폰드 케이크, 모카 부쉬드 노엘 등 홀리데이 시즌 케이크와 도넛 등을 소개했다. 또, 13일 NBC의 지역 프로그램인 NY Live, LA Live에 파리바게뜨 미국 법인 총괄 대런 팁톤(Darren Tipton)이 출연해 1년여에 걸친 크리스마스 케이크 개발 스토리와 제품 특징 등에 대해 설명하기도 했다. 프로그램 진행자는 스트로베리 레드벨벳 케이크를 시식한 후 "솜털같이 가볍고 크리미한 질감이 놀라울 만큼 인상적"이라고 호평을 하기도 했다. 이러한 노력에 힘입어 올해 크리스마스 시즌인 12월 2주 차까지 미국 시장

대한민국 소식 정용근 전 대전경찰청장, 22대 총선 충주 출마 선언
유엔저널 이존영 기자 | 지난 14일 정용근 전 대전경찰청장(58)이 충북 충주에서 내년 총선 출마를 공식적으로 선언했다. 정용근 전 청장은 충주시청 브리핑룸에서 기자회견을 열어 뜨거운 열정과 겸허한 마음으로 22대 국회의원 선거에 출마를 결심 했다고 밝혔다. 정 청장은 "청와대와 국무총리실에서 근무한 국정 경험과 인맥으로 충주도약을 끌어갈 준비가 돼 있다"며 "역동적 대한민국과 활기찬 충주 미래를 위해 출마를 결심했다"고 고 말했다. 그러면서 "다른 후보들과 열정의 차이를 보여주겠다"면서 "정치가 국민의 삶을 먼저 챙기는 희망과 포용, 통합과 민생정치를 말이 아닌 행동으로 실천하겠다"고 강조했다. 그는 1965년 충주시 용탄동에서 태어나 목행초교, 충주중, 충주고를 거쳐 경찰대학(3기)을 졸업했다. 이후 음성경찰서장, 충북경찰청장, 경찰청 교통국장, 대전경찰청장을 지냈다. 지난 12일 예비후보로 등록했다.
